For those who ask about the next album…

I haven’t been lazying around the last few months, or at least not entirely ;-)

Besides writing songs for Hello Madness, I’ve collaborated with the singer/guitarist Alfonso Aguirre (ex-Zubersiva) writing a song for his new project.

A few weeks ago he came to my studio with some ideas to play around with. We were very surprised that we quickly started to build the whole thing so naturaly. We ended up so satisfied with the demo recording, that we decided to put it online on MySpace and Facebook!

“Awake” is the title of this song and it’s about a friend who has been having serious health problems. I like to think that somehow this music will help her and her family through this rough paths.

It’s really weird to see what this is doing to people’s minds.

I won’t even try to make an analysis of the effects of this flu on the economy, its true origins, or talk about the conspiracy theories that are being sent via email. I just want to say that I find very odd the way people is reacting; everyone wearing masks, empty streets for days, nobody shaking hands… it’s like suddenly I woke up in a completely different world… hello madness!

I must say I really liked the city for a few days. There were no traffic at all (which is something I hate with all my heart), no long lines in stores (except for supermarkets, cause people were preparing for the apocalypse), no schools (I live in front of one, and it gets very crowded in the morning)… so, I enjoyed myself those days.

Of course, there were some things that weren’t cool at all. A few recording sessions and gigs had to be canceled. Bars, restaurants and movie theaters were closed. But I managed to survive hehe

Anyway, my message is: don’t panic. Most probably, you won’t get sick if you follow the basic cleaning habits. And if you do, it won’t get too bad if you get medical assistance on time. Fortunately, I don’t know anyone who got sick and I hope it stays that way. But I think there’s no reason to freak out or change your regular habits.

Just go with the flu… ;-)
