Go with the flu by millan

Category: Blog

With all the media attention drawn to the swine influenza, I kinda feel in the mood of writing my thoughts about it. It’s really weird to see what this is doing to people’s minds.

I won’t even try to make an analysis of the effects of this flu on the economy, its true origins, or talk about the conspiracy theories that are being sent via email. I just want to say that I find very odd the way people is reacting; everyone wearing masks, empty streets for days, nobody shaking hands… it’s like suddenly I woke up in a completely different world… hello madness!

I must say I really liked the city for a few days. There were no traffic at all (which is something I hate with all my heart), no long lines in stores (except for supermarkets, cause people were preparing for the apocalypse), no schools (I live in front of one, and it gets very crowded in the morning)… so, I enjoyed myself those days.

Of course, there were some things that weren’t cool at all. A few recording sessions and gigs had to be canceled. Bars, restaurants and movie theaters were closed. But I managed to survive hehe

Anyway, my message is: don’t panic. Most probably, you won’t get sick if you follow the basic cleaning habits. And if you do, it won’t get too bad if you get medical assistance on time. Fortunately, I don’t know anyone who got sick and I hope it stays that way. But I think there’s no reason to freak out or change your regular habits.

Just go with the flu… ;-)

  1. It’s a shame everyone’s thinking Mexico is such a dangerous place with the “deadly” flu. I’m not going to talk about conspiracies or anything of the sort, but we should all know that sicknesses as these happen all the time. And as you stated, my good amigo Millan; it’s a great way to have people investing again. Vaccines, pharmaceutical companies etc. Must be terrible with all the people shying off the streets. But… As you also stated. Madness will prevail! Hehe.

  2. Yeahhh!! Madness will prevail indeed!
The weirdest fact about all this, is that now everyone continued their normal life… like nothing happened… hehe weird and fun
